PDFWorkflow now available!

TerminalWork PDFWorkflow 1.0

Introduction

PDFWorkflow has exited beta and is publicly available. The 1.0 version comes with 9 actions for creating your workflow. In the future we plan to introduce many more actions to PDFWorkflow to even further extend its capability. The main goal of PDFWorkflow will be to fully automate your daily tasks regarding PDF document management. The PDF document creation occurs by printing your document to the PDFWorkflow printer which is created during the installation. After printing the document you can start automating your tasks. This will be achieved by creating workflows. Workflows are a list of predefined and preconfigured actions each being executed in the order they are placed in the list.

Workflows

Workflows are lists of predefined actions. You can create, delete or edit your workflows. Each action inside a workflow can be executed by it's own by pressing the small play button in its field or you can execute them in order by pressing the Execute button. The document can be changed by actions so for example if you use the watermark action and place your logo on your document the save action after it will save the document with those changes. Because of that you will have to pay attention as for example one action can disallow the printing of the document which then can break a later action which has to print out the document. PDFWorkflow will inform you if such cases are present. Workflows are saved under the users account so if you used it on your remote desktop server each user can configure his workflows as he pleases.

Actions

Actions in PDFWorkflow are related to PDF management specific tasks which often occur during your workday. For version 1.0 we included 9 different actions which can cover basically any workflow you can imagine. Each action has it's own configuration UI which can be invoke by clicking the Add Action button on the workflow list. The currently available actions are:

  • Post Action
  • Save Action
  • Security Action
