What operating systems does TSWebcam support?

TSWebcam client and server are fully tested and compatible with all the latest Windows OSs. This includes both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of:

Is there a quick way to switch from one local camera to another?

Yes, when TSWebcam is started on server, the TSWebcam logo is displayed in the system tray. Right click on icon in the system tray and select local camera from the list.

My camera loads but no image is displayed in my application?

Specific applications running on Windows 10 use a different means of establishing communication with the web camera. This is mostly the case with the apps downloaded from the Microsoft Store, but this can as well happen with, for example, Google Chrome.

To resolve this issue, make sure that the registry key EnableFrameServerMode located in both places has the dword:00000000 value.

Do I need to uninstall the old version of TSWebcam when upgrading?

No, you can install newer versions over the top of older versions.

I cannot see TSWebCam as a source in my application?

If you cannot see the TSWebCam as a source in your application OR if the TSWebCam is selected as a source, but it's not working, this behavior is probably related to the security settings set on the camera in the Microsoft Privacy settings.

To resolve this issue, open up the "Settings" on your PC by clicking on the Start button and selecting a small cogwheel.

Afterward, click on the "Privacy" and then on the left-hand side, select "Camera."

Make sure that the "Let apps use my camera" is set to "On."
